This is a pretty campground in a bush setting on Lake Lyell near Lithgow, just two hours from Sydney. You can fish, water ski and kayak, or explore the Blue Mountains National Park. There are also a number of nearby walking tracks. There are friendly kangaroos and a lot of bird life. You can book in advance on (02) 6355 6347. It scores almost five stars on Trip Advisor. The amenities block can be a bit of a walk from some sites but it is a recreation area, not a commercial caravan park.
