Free Camping in Meroo National Park

There are three campgrounds in Meroo National Park, but Termeil Point Campground is the only one that’s suitable for your camper van. Check the weather before you set out as the unsealed road to Termeil Point campground, though 2WD accessible, can become boggy when it rains.

Facilities

  • Pit toilets

Bring your own drinking water and firewood. There are no waste bins so you’ll need to take it with you.

What makes it special?

It sits on a headland between Termeil Lake and Termeil Beach, so whether you like paddling, surfing, fishing, swimming or snorkeling, you’re catered for here. Termeil point is also a good base for walking or cycling through the national park. Meroo Head Look Out, Meroo Lake, and Nuggan Point walking tracks are nearby. The campsite is small and secluded. The facilities are basic but adequate. And the best part? It’s free!

Rates: Free.
