Nandroya Falls, Wallicher Falls and Tchupala Falls: Wooroonooran National Park

Within walking distance of the Henrietta Creek Campground are three spectacular waterfalls.

Nandroya Falls

The wide cascade and tall drop of the double tiered Nandroya Falls is reached by a moderate 6km circuit trail that leaves from the Henrietta Creek campground.

Wallicher and Tchupala Falls

The Wallicher Falls trail leaves Henrietta Creek campground, passing Gooligans picnic area. It’s an easy 2.5 km walk (5 km return). Keep going another 1.2 km and you will reach Tchapala Falls. The walk to both falls will be just over 7 km return.

Tchapala Falls and Wallicher Falls can also be reached from a trail head off the Palmerston Highway. From here, Tchapala Falls are just 500 metres away, while Wallicher Falls are 1 km away.

Johnston River Lookout Walk

This walk (also called North Johnston Lookout) does not leave from the campground, but a few kilometres east along the Palmerston highway. It is a strenuous 4 km return walk but worth it for the breath taking views. The track starts from Crawford’s Lookout. Look for the signs on the Palmerston Highway, or find it in the southern border of Wooroonooran National Park on the map below.
