The South Australian Museum is housed in a beautiful sandstone building on the cultural boulevard of Adelaide within easy reach of the Art Gallery of South Australia, the migration Museum, the State Library of South Australia, Adelaide Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Zoo. It has five floors of displays and changing exhibitions.

South Australian Museum Highlights

The exhibits of Aboriginal culture are extensive. The minerals are attractively displayed by color. There’s a giant squid, a lion with a twitchy tail, and an annual Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the year exhibition.
