Violet Hill Camping and picnic area sits on an inlet that connects two lakes – Boolambayte Lake and Myall Lake. Boolambayte is a sanctuary and fishing there is off-limits, but you can still fish Mayll Lake if you have a fishing license.

This is a great place to swim, paddle, and putz about in a boat, due to the boat ramp, wharf, and moorings. If you don’t have your own kayaks, paddle boards, or boats, there are places that rent them.

There are 40 campsites, some suitable for caravans, campervans and motorhomes.

Tip: There are no bookings, it’s a first come first served basis. There is also no water so be sure to bring your own.
