Lake Conjola flows into the ocean and its water is crystal clear. There are plenty of fish. The wildlife – kangaroos, kookaburras, possums, rainbow lorikeets – is friendly. The beach has white sand, dunes and is fringed by native bush. The region is a beautiful unspoiled stretch of Australian coastline and worth enjoying for a while.
Two caravan parks and campsites stand out. They are both in picturesque locations, score more than four stars on Trip Advisor, and are campervan friendly.

More information
- GET YOUR CAMPERVAN: If you are planning a road trip between Sydney and Melbourne along the Pacific Coast, but haven’t organised your transport yet, visit Camperman Australia for campervan hire. I like them because they are upfront with costs providing an all-inclusive quote (insurance, toll fees, extra drivers etc). They also have campervans for sale, and they’ll buy it back when you return.
- Find a blog by its location on a MAP.
- See Lake Conjola in pictures (coming soon).
You haven’t mentioned that the Conjola Lakeside Van Park is a Big4 so you can get a discount. The photo of the old Peugeot wagon is at Killarney, not at the entrance

Thanks for your comment Bob. I removed the pic of the Puegot. I don’t want my blogs to be misleading. I have mentioned that Lakeside is a Big 4 in the title. Are you from Lake Conjola?
