Bedarra Hideaway is a masterpiece by award winning architect Chris Van Dyke. Lovingly decorated by its former owner, renowned photographer Peter Lik, the interior is unique and elegant. The floors are of recycled railway sleepers and the ceilings of bleached logs. Stone African statues and onyx sinks give the bathroom a distinctive tribal flavour. The hand carved teak front door was imported from Bali and Bedarra Island’s original canoe hangs from the ceiling.
Perched on the Bedarra Island hillside, Bedarra Hideaway was designed so that every room, and even the plunge pool, enjoys sweeping views across the Coral Sea, the Great Barrier Reef, and the surrounding islands. Waking up to these views from your bed every morning is an unforgettable experience.
Bedarra Hideaway is surrounded by lush rainforest and is an easy two minute stroll from two secluded beaches. It’s a favorite among honeymooners and couples.
What guests love: The plunge pool, the views, and the quirky elegant interior.
